I spoke to Sam and he was lovely. Really understanding about which insurance would be best for me personally. He kept me updated throughout and it didn’t take long at all for him to find me the best and cheapest quote he could to my policy going live. So glad I used them as I have had T1 diabetes for 16 years and when I’ve looked in the past quotes were £40/£50 and the quote Sam found me was nothing close to that! Cannot praise Sam and the team enough! I had really struggled with trying to find life insurance before speaking with More than Diabetes. Sam was on the case for almost 3 months and at no point did he give up. He was extremely knowledgeable about the process but also when dealing with some of the medical jargon, especially on those annoying forms! He was in regular contact, even if it was just to check in with me and give me updates on what he was doing his end. He always made me optimistic when I felt like I had had enough. In the end he managed to find me a quote which was much lower than previous ones and I couldn't be happier. It sounds cheesy, but Sam was so helpful and actually cared about me as an individual and not just another statistic or commission which was an unusual feeling after some of the people I had spoken to. I will be sharing the company name with my clinic at the hospital and letting other know about this excellent service. It has saved me time and stress If I could rate them more than 5 stars then I definitely would!

Was stressing the fact that I had to renew my life insurance when it ran out, being newly diagnosed with T1D, I knew it was going to be hard. Tried with multiple other brokers and they were just fobbing me off with other types of insurance that I can have but just doesn't cover my diabetes. Absolutely amazing. Filled in an online application form for one of the team to contact me the following day and Sam had me a quotes the day after. Such little hassle especially since no insurance companies would accept me when doing it myself, they just decline my application when it came to my diabetes, however Sam knew exactly what company’s to use and got me accepted straight away.

How much will Life Insurance cost me with Diabetes?

This is completely down to you. There are no set premiums as it’s based on how much cover you need and your personal circumstances. It is likely that you will pay more than someone without diabetes, however it is our job to get you the lowest premium possible.

How quickly can I get covered?

Because you have diabetes, in a lot of cases the insurance company will want to write to your GP first, so this can take a few weeks. However, depending on what type of diabetes you have and the control, insurance companies will make decisions within 24 hours.

Can I make changes to my policy?

Yes you can, without any penalties or charges. We will even keep in contact with you to review the policy if your situation changes or we can find you a better deal.

Do you charge any upfront advice fees?

No, we will not charge you a fee for our services relating to insurance, but we will receive commission from the product provider. The commission will be calculated as a proportion of the premiums paid for the insurance product. You will receive a quotation which will tell you about the fees and charges relating to any insurance policy that we recommend.
